Tap at the Dekum pub. From backlog notes
A: Cloudy brown in color with a creme color head and some lacing.
N: Leather, smoke, rye whiskey, cherry, pinot noir grape, tobacco, oak, caramel and caramelized brown sugar. Plum and raisin.
T: Lots of fruit and wine coming through; followed by the smoke and malt. Th is reminds me quite a bit of rye whiskey Adam, actually.
M: Medium-heavy body, light alcohol burn, crisp carbonation.
O: Good stuff. Doesn’t overwhelm, but it is packed with flavor. Rye is a pleasing addition.

Deep bronze with a thin head. Full, oily slick body. Full of booze, dark fruit, raisin, molasses, sweet caramel malt, lightly oaked. Lingering boozy heat with sweet malts. Very nice. alexsdad06 (11561) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2017
12 oz bottle from Tavour shared with drsordr. Pours a dark caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have big rye whiskey barrel character, caramel, wood, spicy, the barrel cuts any sweetness this might have had, earthy, some bitterness, a bit of the alcohol, good. drsordr (2984) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour hazy brown with copper hue and moderate ecru head. Nose slightly boozy, rye, prune, raisin, earthy. Taste red fruit, prune, slightly spicy rye, some vanilla from barrel.

12 oz. bottle, pours a murky dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Nose brings out heaps of bourbon, followed by vanilla, dark fruits, caramel and earthy notes. Flavour is loaded with a wonderful rye barrels, followed by whiskey, bourbon, caramel, vanilla and dark fruits. Syrupy palate, but not anywhere close to cloying. The earthy rye notes dry this out just enough. Lovely. douglas88 (9895) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 10, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish color, looks darker till held up to the light, a medium off white head. A huge nose, toffee, cocoa, berries. Very sweet, light heat, toffee, maybe some oxidation, caramel, light berries. Very good. Drinkable despite the ABV, great. fiulijn (21559) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 30, 2017
Draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), VancouverOakes (19742) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2017
Cloudy reddish amber color. The rye whiskey dominates the aroma, sweet, toffee, sticky malt, hint of pineapple candies and vanilla, and red wine (reminds me of some early Mikkeller and Danish beers). The body has a good structure, it’s rather sweet, lightly oily, less cloying than most Wheat Wines, but it lacks the structure of a Barley Wine; the whiskey is very evident, and the final is lightly boozy.
In the end, I couldn’t drink more than a small glass of this, but it’s a good brewing exercise.
Hazy light brown. Thick head. Toffeeish old ale nose...dates and beautiful malts. Rich, raisin, black currant...lush malts and beautiful fruits. Oh wow this is good.
