3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at Breakside. The sweet, funky character of a lambic. Notes of tropical fruit and a pleasing tingle on the finish.
Bottle sample from Carl S. of Belmont Station. Many thanks, Carl! Colour...very slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. Nose...sweetly spicy and lightly acetic, with tropical fruit and citrus essence. Palate....bursting with CO2, this starts off with a zesty zing of citrusy goodness and hints of something like cinnamon. There’s certainly a pucker factor here, but only mildly. There’s passion fruit, quince and star fruit at the mid and back palate and the finish is lengthy and fairly acetic. boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured pale, hazy, yellow with a thin white head. This was nice. Tart and bright and still balanced. Hints of gin and citrus. Really solid and- nice entry into their sour program which I hope continues.
