Rating #2426 - 2016.04.11 - Draught @alibiroom - Copper&Theory TT. Pours a hazy copper amber with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is mild pine, mild floral aroma, some botanicals. Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a lingering bitterness - cookie dough, caramel malt character really brought forward.

Bomber, bought in Portland. Gin aroma with notes of oak, tropical fruit and pine resinous hops. Pours cloudy orange colored with a huge soapy white head that has excellent retention but little lacing. Starts with sweet tropical fruit hop and gin flavors. Finishes dry with some oak and very bitter pine resinous hops that linger on the palate. Interesting, flavorful IPA.

On tap at Toronado Seattle. Opaque orange. Nose is lovely, resinous, fresh hops. Bright, with the barrel staying underneath. Flavor follows, adding some gin/herbal notes. Remains sharp, with resin over vanilla. Like it a lot.

Toronado, Seattle. Nice cream head on soft cloudy gold. Huge juicy gin aroma, slightly detergent in the sense that it smells too good to be true with fruit. Thus is pure gin and tonic; the tonic so present. Fruity hop base is an admirable foundation for this, which has a remarkably strong gin character. Bitter finish. Quite a remarkable and interesting beer. Gin barrel ftw once more.

Draft pour at Toronado, for the Breakside event. Such fun beers! Pours a cloudy golden orange with a thin patchy head. Huge, cool gin aroma. Flavor is an icy gin up front, with everything else hiding in the background. Subtle hop.character, but left difficult to decifer. Surprisingly doesnt taste too strong. Solid and prime uniqueness. Extremely fun beer to try, and very well executed.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. A big fruity perfume pineapples and lemon. The flavor is pretty much like the nose: rich tropical flavor, gin, pineapple, smooth sweet brew. This works well and is delicious.

(En fût à la source): Très botanique, résine, bois sec et aspect crème soda. Assez déstabilisant considérant le style visé mais si on passe par-dessus les conventions, c’est un liquide passablement intéressant.

Slight haze, light amber. Nice aroma of juniper, pine, lots of hops. Rich juniper, hops, lots of bitterness, these flavours really go well together. Loved this one.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. The aroma is fruity and flowery, pungent. The flavor mixes a sourish ipa with fruits and with booze, and they don’t come along together very well. Resiny hops in the final, and quite some booze.
Not a bad beer, but very chaotic.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of juniper / gin upfront, which steals the show, followed by subdued citrus hops. Flavour is a wonderful balance of intense gin barrels and citrus hops. The hops are not muted from the barrel aging and the gin isn’t too abrasive. Wonderful stuff.
