22 oz bomber from "Lifesource" in Salem OR $4.99 This IPA does appear a lighter colour than normal..a deep golden..with what has to be the most attractive head i have seen in a proper IPA,..about an inch thick, tightly bubbled and quite uniform. Very very intense hop aromas..as said in the intro..weird combination of bright citrus peel and normal PNW dankness..but it works. Taste is similar to aroma but much more effervescent grapefruit ( pink) in the end. Lovely mouth feel..intense yet at the same time light and quaffable ( yes i used That word). Very good IPA ..loving this.

Pine and citrus aroma. Not too strong, but at a nice level. Slightly hazy, mostly clear amber. 1/2 inch bubbly white head, receding slowly. Moderate to thin feel. Mild initial taste, citrus, transitioning to citrus and pine in the middle and finish. A bit of a mineral taste, but not objectionable at all. Moderately bitter finish. Nice, but not outstanding, IPA.

Visiting Portland and found our way to the breakaway. Really good IPA, smooth, not too bitter.

Pours a coppery amber from a bottle, white head dissipates but leaves some lacing. Big dank grapefruit aroma, some pine notes as well. Flavor is a bit of a letdown, quickly turning those aromas into a watery flatness. Good beer.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2017 Pure, crisp and refreshing. This piney glass of amber nectar is nothing short of excellence. Nice citrus forward clean but choppy (citra-hop) aroma, finishes with a kiss of tart in just the right proportion. Thank you Breakside for a well balanced choppy IPA. #PDXdoeschoppyright

appearance: clear gold, soapy white head shrinking to a collar. aroma: big smell--citrus, green onion, mango. taste: as the aroma indicates, plus cattail and a bit of honeyed grains. finish: soapy, floral aftertaste; medium-slick palate. notes: Draft at Craft Conundrum in Charleston, South Carolina.

Pours cloudy lighter amber. Not much aroma. Lighter plain flavors. Lacks complexity and body. Slight tropical undertones. 6.2% alcohol ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very hop forward IPA. Although this is bottled, it is very much like a fresh hop IPA. Good on a hot day.

Papaya tropical hop aroma with some piney bitter hops backing. Base is a nice amount of malt balancing the hops but not sticky or sweet. Full flavored but easy drinking. Finishes bitter and dry. Solid IPA, nothing bad about it but also not blowing me away, just a good overall IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bomber in tulip glass. Great smell and color. I tend to try lots of different IPAs since I don’t drink them all the time, but this would be a very good go to IPA, not as bitter finish as some and full of fresh, juicy flavor (and smell).
