On tap at Breakwater, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely wine yeast upfront, followed by brett and light red fruits. Flavour is quite complex, with notes of red wine barrels, brett, grape mist and leather. Complex and wonderfully balanced. Excellent. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2016
On tap at Breakwater. Poured a deep amber, bordering on brown with a small sized head. Sour fruits, vinegar, funky, tart, and wine. If anything, a bit acetic in the tastes, but overall nice. Stuedmaster (351) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 30, 2014
On tap at the brewpub in Oceanside. I never would have guessed that it was such an unusual combination of mead and ale, it tastes similar to a Flanders Red/Brown Sour aged in oak. Poured in a tulip glass, nice red/brown appearance with a slight head. Aroma of cherry, oak, vanilla, vinegar. Nice balance of sweet, sour, and slight bitter, earthy and vinous. Clean finish, perfect oak character, Iíll have another. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 9, 2014
†Dark caramel color with ivory foam. Big aspirin, wet wood, sour fruit aromas. Smooth mouthfeel. Dry dark caramel, sour dark fruit, wet wood, spicy red wine flavors are lightly to medium tart----smooth easy finish for a sour---not bad. † slowrunner77 (11891) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"A little on the lite side in all aspects, but a flavorable, sessionable sour brown ale that was enjoyed by all. Cherries, amalt and a lactic sourness on the nose and palate. Cool surprise."

Draught at the brewpub, Oceanside. Deep amber/mahogany beer with a nice lasting beige/brownish head. Sourish fruity aroma, vinegar, brett, leather notes, grapes, citrus, caramel, raisins, some figs. Malty grape and caramel aroma, floral, brett, grassy, raisins, leather notes, funky, some citrus. A bit on the sugary sweet side, but still good and drinkable. thome50 (1294) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - DEC 8, 2013
