Cask at The White Horse Old Ale Festival, Parson's Green in Nov 2017 - Opaque dark brown / black in colour. Small tan head. Malty; lightly roast malts, caramel, coffee, chocolate notes. Fairly thin. Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours black-brown with minimal head. Nice chocolate notets in the nose. Light-medium sweet flavour, with soft roast, velvety chocolate, some raisins, brown bread. Light bodied, a little oily, with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, sweet but with nice bittersweet baking cocoa, mild roast. Fun and easygoing. hohops (1122) - Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2017
Appearance is very dark brown, a small clingy beige head. Aroma- chocolate, toffee, biscuity malt. Taste is fudge, toffee, chocolate, milky coffee, chocolate biscuit. Smooth, cask-like mouthfeel.
