COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dover’s Pale Ale (DPA) is the beer that we want to drink when we’re in the pub, hoppy, dry, golden bitter ale. Easy going, but with enough character you can remember it’s name. Brewed with the best English malts money can buy, a selected blend of American and English hops for a citrus spicy bit of hop action. You’ll be taken in by the look, tempted by the aroma and fall in love with the balance. Our take is based on Simpsons Golden Promise, some Dextrine Malt and Caramalt, chuck in some American Columbus hops, then a pinch of US Mosaic, English Endeavour and then late some US Cascade. We’ve used a “London style” yeast from our collection, chosen as a solid fermenter. It’s given a balanced iteration of the pale and hoppy style, but with a solid hop flavour, low in alcohol super easy drinking over a few. We’ll probably be moving the hopping regime around a little, making it slightly more aromatic.

Cask conditioned at Coventry Beer Festival '18, this was a late replacement beer. Gold with white head. There is an initial stewed note to this, slightly tinny bitterness with a drying note. Some leafy hop notes come through later, improving the beer considerably. It's fine in the close.
