Maltser85 (358) - Fargo, North Dakota, USA - SEP 23, 2015
Copper amber pout with a khaki head. Aroma of faded hops and sweet malts. Flavor was the same. Little to no caramel or toasty flavors. Hardly any fruity esters. No bitterness hardly at all. Not good, not anywhere close to style. No. Emeister84 (2479) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUL 15, 2015
Caramel aromas, bready. Slightly hazy bronze with burnt orange highlights, and a somewhat lasting white head. Somewhat sweet, toasty, caramel, some raisiny flavors. Medium bodied.

355ml bottle. A huge esb that kind of is a double english ipa at times, big hoppiness to go with a big maltiness. RobertDale (6383) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAY 30, 2015
Sample at Hopfest 2015. Comes reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is malt, chocolate, caramel, earth, and some fruit. Very nice. ARH (1125) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2015
On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is nutty with caramel and dough notes, as well as a slightly medicinal funk. The beer is dark and oily looking with a caramel colored hue, and a generous fluffy, off white head that has decent retention and lace. The taste is a medium, malty sweet and medium light bitter that strengthens to medium near the end of the drink. The beer is fairly thick and syrupy with a light, fizzy carbonation and a medium full roated body flavored with bread and figs / raisins and a bit of a bitter wax note. The finish has a spicy zip leading to an aftertaste that’s waxy and cloying with flavors of fig and warmed caramel with a hint of wax.
