2014.03.30 - Breckenridge 72 Imperial Stout - on tap at Dan's. Pretty good, nothing particularly special.

Actually a good brew. Its hit or miss for me with them. Roasty scent. Burnt espresso. Dark. Nice head and lace. The roasty malts are prominent. A bit bitter. Wish it had a bit more sweetness to make it balanced. I’d like to see more booze in it to. Not bad.

Pours near black with a small tan head. It has a rich chocolate aroma. It’s sweet with roasted malt and plenty of chocolate. Smooth and medium bodied, it’s a pleasant and easy drinking beer.

Poured a dark brown color, almost black with a light brown head that dissipates quickly. I smell chocolate, roasted malts and some vanilla. I taste all of the same with some coffee and a little cherry in the finish. Smooth and damn good! I’m not playing!

Picked up 4-pack at a 5.99 deal. Sweet chocolate with hints of dark chocolate and cherry. Watery more than creamy. Ok paired with an appropriate dessert.
