This is a solid stout --- not exceptional, but really very tasty and worth seeking out for repeat tastings. Pours very dark brown with a nice medium brown head. Nose is a little roast but mostly sweeter, chocolately notes. Flavor puts the roast well into the background, with the chocolate notes really taking over. Not too sweet and quite tasty. (Bottle). Black-brown complexion with thin tan head. No lacing on glass. Cocoa aroma. Malty with faint cocoa flavor. Somewhat watery palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2013
Bottle. The look is dark, light tan head, and black in color. The smell is malt, bakers chocolate, roast, creamy, and slight vanilla. The taste is creamy, malt, chocolate, mocha, and good. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12 oz bottle. Black in color with a small tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, light prune. Taste is of chocolate, prune, roasted malts, and Dutch cocoa. Palme (4823) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 9, 2013
On tap @ Top Hops. This is a deep dark brown - as good as black in the glass really and it had a nice medium sized really dense and really good looking chocolaty top. Nice sweet chocolate nose, lots of chocolate ice cream in this one, a little bit of chili and sweet chocolate. Nice stuff. Yeah, as expected it’s a bit on the sweet side, but not to far out there. Really chocolaty in the taste, it has a soft soapy thing, some roastiness also, but the sweet chocolate is playing the main role here. Lacto sweet, some milky thing and it ends with a nice chocolaty confetti flavor. Really smooth on the oily mouthfeel and the carbonation is soft and almost prickling kits if flavor. 14.06.2013

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks zvikar. Black with a bit of light brown foam. Nice roasted coffee beans aroma with cocoa notes. Roasty flavor, bittersweet, with lots of coffee, some dark chocolate and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Decent. LilBeerDoctor (4193) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2013
On tap. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bitter chocolate. Flavor of booze, sweet malt, raisin, roasted malt, chocolate. A bit strong for 7.2% and not enough chocolate, given the name. A bit of a disappointment.

Nice tan head over black body. Aroma of roast, dark burnt sugar, chocolate, coffee. Taste of coffee and cream, chocolate, roast, nice and light for the style/ABV. Highly drinkable kevinator (2716) - The Colony, Texas, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Well done but I have to be in the mood for this one. Strong chocolate with roasted malt aromas. Nice dark brown color with small head. An average weight with some creaminess. Good carbonation. The chocolate was very present in the beginning and subsided through the bottle giving way to a strong dark malt flavor. Somewhat sweet that typically comes with chocolate. Definitely had a dessert character. degbert (1776) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a tight-grained cinnamon head -- color is opaque and has a definite oily/heavy appearance to it. Nose is baking chocolate, soy, espresso, and herbal spiciness. Huge and round on the front of the palate, with dark chocolate, raisins, and cinnamon predominant; the dark flavors stay all the way through in a harmonious, rich, and monstrously complex flavor. This is a damn big stout, and I love it; not too sweet, but certainly sweet enough. Definitely the beer equivalent of a mid-seventies luxury car; all it needs is fins and velour upholstery.
