Pours near black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of toasted nut in syrup. Taste is coffee dark chocolate with a bit of burn in the finish. Smooth without a lot of roasted aftertaste.

Draft to snifter. Looks good; black with beige lacing. Smells and tastes sweet and malty with notes of chocolate and a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Solid beer. TheBear11D (365) - Michigan, USA - MAR 12, 2013
The 72 pours dark with a brown head that leaves little lacing. The aroma is fairly weak but malty chocolate goodness and molasses. The flavor is much better than the aroma. Overall this was a nice little surprise. I hope to enjoy more in the future.

12oz bottle in tulip pours a dark black with large tan head. Strong chocolate roasted malt aroma. Chocolate cocoa vanilla and Carmel taste. BREWMUSKCLES (2687) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 3, 2013
dark black brew with light tan head. nice body thick enough with a flavor of wheat vegetable and then some cherry. bit of smoke wafts in after time but a hint of the first hit kinda sets it back . some saucy gravy (worcestershire) in aroma.

Black pour with brown to red hue, pretty dark cocoa colored head a sixteenth of an inch high. Smells like rich chocolate and coffee. Thin mouthfeel with next to no carbonation. Flavors of maple, caramel, and bourbon maybe? Clean finish with sweet flavors left over. Overall pretty light and kind of sweet, syrupy stout. impaleyou (24) - Indiana, USA - FEB 25, 2013
Smooth choclatey maltiness. Decent mouth feel. Smooth imperial stout. Not the best but a good choice Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Dark brown pour with a medium tan head.
aroma is cocoa and vinous dark fruit.
Flavour is dark fruits, semi sweet and milk chocolate.
Body is a touch light, but the 7% is blended in very well. Some herbal/bakers chocolate bitterness in the finish. Chuckaduck (674) - Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Bottle. 2/15/13. Pours dark brown-black with a fast to fade light brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, hints of dark fruit, sweet and just a bit spicy. Taste is nice; creamy, smooth, brown sugar, chocolate, roast, some coffee. Malt for days with very little bitterness; not many IBUs here. Tastes even more mild than the 7.2% ABV. This I like this. Smooth mouth feel but with a coating sensation. Very little lacing. Well crafted. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2013
This poured a cloudy medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was lots of chocolate, toosie roll caramel mixed with it, and some whipped cream notes too. Flavor was toosie rolls, nice milk chocolate, and mild roast. A bit thin for a stout, but solid offering from Breckenridge.
