Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. aroma is cocoa and vinous dark fruit. Flavour is dark fruits, semi sweet and milk chocolate. Body is a touch light, but the 7% is blended in very well. Some herbal/bakers chocolate bitterness in the finish.

Not an imperial stout by any stretch of the imagination. Thin and rather watery, even for the NOT imperial abv of 7%. Dark brown. Cocoa aroma and flavor is nice but there's really not a whole lot else going on. So enjoyable enough but falsely advertised as an imperial stout.

Meh. Not great. Aroma was weak. Artificial chocolate and not much else. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan film for a head. Taste was very average. Thing chocolate water with a berry alcoholic taste in the middle. Thin weak lightly carbonated finish. Drinkable at best

DATE: February 3, 2017... OCCASION: celebrating what the doctors term a successful surgery for Mom... GLASSWARE: Guinness pint... dark black body as expected, with a half-finger of creamy brown head sitting confidently atop... cocoa bean, coffee bean, vanilla, band aid (in the vein of Islay scotch), cookie dough and bourbonesque suggestions.... dry at the start, mild through the mouth, and full at the finish... lingers with lactic sweetness... cola qualities make for an interesting palate... chocolate milk, slightly briny, vanilla and cookie dough--a dessertif for certain, with an alcoholic heaviness that belies its 7.2% ABV... worth the selection in my Wegman’s winter pick six, flavorful and drinkable...

Pours wimpily, black with almost no head. Aroma is raisin, smoke, licorice, cocoa. Medium-full bodied, kinda creamy with a slight bite. Oak, whiskey, smoke, plum... Had some qualities, nothing really outstanding though. Just didn’t stand out.

Aroma of plum, smoked malt and coffee. Dark brown with a short lasting thin tan head. Taste of plum, smoked malt and coffee. A full bodied with an oily mouth feel and a bourbon finish.

From a bomber. Pours an inky black and makes a tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of roasted malt, molasses, and cocoa. Tastes of booze, chocolate, blueberry, and plum. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy brown head. The nose is sweet chocolate with a little lactose and roast. The flavor is quite sweet with vanilla and lactose with lots of milk chocolate and roastiness. Medium bodied and slightly sticky with soft carbonation and a long lingering sweet finish. Enjoyable enough, but the sweetness does get to be a bit much by the end of the bottle.
