Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

This beer is another in the fine world of Breckinridge beers. This is a great tasting beer to go great with a nice frosted glass to enhance the flavor. I enjoy this beer anytime of the day or week and recommend it to those in need of a good tasting brew.

On tap at Fuzzy’s. Clear, caramel color, with a big, frothy, beige head. The aroma is toffee, vanilla, smooth caramel, spruce, and spice. Sweet and syrupy, with a light bitterness. Light to medium body, with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. This is a fair beer, but a little weak.

Clear amber pour. Rocky, chunky white head with large bubbles. Nose is faint bitter hops and pale malt. Crackery malt base, caramel, spicy hops. Finishes dry and a little metallic. Not really my thing, but not awful.

Draft at the Marlin Bar. Pours a clear amber body with thin white lacing. Nose is bitter hop and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is bitter, astringent and spicy with noticeable malt character drowning out any semblance of a hop profile.

Transparent, dark yellow with white foam. Toasted cereal malt nose with some grassy hops. Taste starts sharp, but the malts take over and smooth it out. Woody, some caramel and a bitter, resin hops finish. Medium body, light fizz.

Pours a clear amber with light tan head. A malty base with caramel. A malt based taste as well with caramel, grains and light fruits. A dry malt aftertaste.

Pours an iced tea brown with an off white medium head of foam. Fairly descent taste and very smooth. Somewhat ordinary but enjoyable.

Tasting flight at the taproom in Denver. Amber with an off white head, honey biscuity malt aroma. Medium bodied with a chewey texture. This is a malt forward Amber Ale that is very English in style, the first decent beer I tried at this taproom.
