The craftsmanship of Vanilla Porter is evidenced in NVP. A variety of malts provide flavors of chocolate, roasted nut, caramel, and coffee. Imported vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea and Madagascar add complex and exotic flavors to this solid porter. The softening effect of nitrogen creates a velvety mouthfeel and highlights the flavors of the malts and vanilla. NVP presents another delicious way to enjoy Vanilla Porter.

Good on Nitro. Could be stronger in alcohol content. I would still order this at the bar any day (or night).

Dark with a decent sized tan head. Roasty and sweet. Malt, caramel, cocoa, and vanilla. Not thick, but slightly creamy.

16 oz. can from a bottle share. Makes the familiar spritz sound of a nitro can. Pours a slightly bubblier head than the Guinness nitro can, say, then settles to a fine, but thin, layer of tan foam. Body is reddish brown, a little light as porters go. Smell has some light vanilla notes, then shows off some slightly roasty malt. Taste somewhat thin, which should be expected for a nitro beer. But for a normal strength beer, it needs more of a punch. Vanilla seems to go nowhere. There is malt here, since it leaves a little stickiness on my lips. Maybe this needs some oak or a bit more spice.

Smooth. Surprisingly not to sweet. Solid porter. Color is ok. Head is ok. But smooth taste is the most remarkable part ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2017 Can at Macs. Checked my review of the regular draft version from 3 years ago. Tastes mostly the same though the nitro here obviously adds body and creaminess. Very dark copper pour with a thick lasting beige head. Abrupt dark chocolaty malt flavors. Vanilla is present but not overly pronounced. Toffee. Drying wood tannins keep things from being overly sweet. Slim hop bite. Ghostly finish. Not complex but well done. Works much better than the original.

Pours a bronze color. Slow forming nitro head, about one finger beige head. Good retention, lacing on glass after sip.

Aroma is good dose of vanilla, dark roasted malts, although light.

Taste is vanilla and light dark roasted malt. Sweet. Touch of coffee.

Mouthfeel is medium light body. Very smooth, yes very near silky. Just slides right down.

Overall, it's pretty good. Could stand to be a little heavier body. I'd buy it again, and I would recommend it.

Pours dark brown with creamy tan head. Aroma is smooth creamy vanilla. Flavor of course has vanilla with hint of roasted nuts and toffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark with thick creamy off white head. Roasted malt aroma with a tinge of sweetness, slight caramel flavor with the right amount of vanilla. Smooth and creamy. Not bad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Super creamy, smooth and easy to drink. As velvety and light as a porter can pull off. May seem a tad watery, so more of a summer porter, if you will. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
