COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Draft at Madrones in Frederick, MD served in a pint glass; opaque deep dark brown (black) color with thin tan head. Aroma notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some nuttiness. Taste adds more roast, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, dry with quick roast finish. Nice solid oatmeal stout.

12 oz. bottle, from the bottle. Thanks Steve! Big nose of roasted coffee, chalk, and bread. Sweet and overly roasty, with a harsh bitterness. Medium body, creamy, biting, and pleasantly aggressive. This is a mellow and reasonably tasty stout, but a little too roasted and bitter.

Bottled, poured into glass. Very bold. Intense coffee flavors. Very "roasty" with subtle bitter chocolate. I love this style of beer but honestly, I found this one a bit on the harsh side. It's intense. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 12oz bottle into a Deschutes stem glass. Pours near black with moderate head and lace. Aroma of dark roasted malts, slight oatmeal. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of dark roasted malts, bitter chocolate, minerals, slight oats, grains, straw hops. Overall flavorful, tasty for the style.
