COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - APR 9, 2004
Black, opaque, with a quickly diminishing tan head (large bubbles.) The aroma was espresso, spiced beef(?), and smoke. The flavor was very roasty/smoky...lots of coffee...very bitter/metallic aftertaste. The feel was crisp and slightly thin. Nothing sweet or creamy about this thing!

flutetokill (523) - Fresno, California, USA - APR 9, 2004
Opaque black color with a large head that dissipated quickly leaving a nice lace. Roasted coffee, chocolate and anise aroma. Creamy roasted coffee, sweet malt, slightly sour lactose, and chocolate flavors. Very slight metallic aftertaste. Enjoyable.

dark, no head, flavor of coffee that comes out more once the beer has warmed up. slightly bitter finish, and has an aftertaste of alcohol. all in all not bad

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 22, 2004
Black with light brown head which dies quickly. Smoky and sharp grain aroma, almost too sour or skunky. Very rich, but lacking flavor. Bland and rancid oats with a smoky finish.

3.9
pivo (2688) - GERMANY - MAR 20, 2004
A solid stout, for sure. Not sure why this is only in the 55 pecentile at the time of my rating - this is well above average. Woody nose, jet black color, low scumy head. Smooth dark roast malt body with a graininess (oatmeal?) in the middle. Espresso-bitter finish - dry and even tangy. Wanted the body to be a little thicker, but overall a fine stout.

TChrome (1481) - North Richland Hills, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2004
Pours very dark brow, though not opaque with a tan head that dissipates too rapidly. Aroma has some decent roastiness to it, but not enough depth or breadth to be a top stout. The flavor improves upon the aroma rather significantely. Nice deep, rich roasted flavor with some coffee notes as well. Mouth feel is not too thin as with some sweet stouts. Exceeded my expectations.

Nearly opaque pitch black color. Woody nose also smoked. Fast diminishing head. Malt and chocolate a gogo, roasted mocca taste. Nice.

Perfectly acceptable oatmeal stout. I had it for breakfast with Wilford Brimley.

Black body with tan foamy head. Hints of caramel and dark chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Coffee malt flavor apparent. Good stout.
