Bottle from 14-0. Dark brown black color and thick appropriate body. Smoky earthen nose. Very smooth full mouthfeel. Great balance of a bit of oatmeal and coffee overtones. Roasted chocolate in there too. Great but not perfect for the style.

One of my favourites, right now. Nice and dark, not too expensive, and light enough that I can finish off quite a few. aenimopiate (176) - The United States of Texas, Texas, USA - FEB 26, 2005
I did enjoy this beer, and to be fair, it probably would have gotten a better review had I not been taste-testing a old rasputin imperial stout in the same sitting, but one cannot help but draw comparison to what one has had most recently. It is not a bad beer, but I’ve had better oatmeal stouts. ghouseguy (20) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 18, 2007
Bottle. Got this beer in a Breckenridge variety pack. Quite pleased with this one, very good all around. Enjoyed this beer outside on a muggy summer day and for an oatmeal stout, it was quite refreshing. Good ratings all around, another great Breckendridge beer. Fine stout overvall. Out of the bottle it pours so black, I actually held it up to a light and couldn’t see the faintest color other than pitch black - just the way a stout should pour. Nice light brown head too.
Aroma of smoke and molassis. Taste is refined, more bitter than sweet with hints of the oatmeal, hops and coffee. I’ve got to have this from the tap!

Yummo! Even Rachael Ray would agree that that most irritating of words is best to use when describing Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout. Deep semi-sweet cocoa flavors hide in this luxurious stout with a color in which only select dark brown hues are reflected. All other colors are swallowed into its gaping nothingness. I love stouts, and this one is a fine example. Breckenridge continues to top my list of favorite brewers. Dking620 (6) - Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA - JAN 12, 2008 does not count

Smooth, average cream colored head. First had it on tap at the brewery and have since had bottles from several locations and have not been disappointed, but as in most cases, better from the source. MereLikesBeer (195) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2009
mmmmtasty! So I’m not exactly the avid stout drinker.. however, this is a pretty tasty beverage! It poured a nice dark brown black color with a pretty tan/caramel head that was a decent thickness. Aroma was sweet, chocolaty, and not too much coffee in my opinion. It tastes great! Very balanced, a bit bitter, but sweet at the same time. I really enjoy how balanced this beer is. A black pour with a thin tan head and good lacing. It has a malty chocolate aroma that is fairly subtle. The taste starts lively and semi-sweet, then it smoothes into a dry finish with a hint of coffee aftertaste.
