3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A brown body with a tan head that had good retention and great lace. Aroma had nice roasted malts, a hint of semi-sweet chocolate and a mild smoked note. There was an off-putting hint of soy sauce to the aroma. Flavor was good. There was a nice roasted malt flavor. There was some chocolate notes, but overall it was a generic roasted malt flavor. Had a great mouth feel. Slightly dry finish.
Roasted barley aroma, black color. Pretty standard. Taste is too dry for me, expected something sweeter from an oatmeal stout, haven’t found signs of oat here. Body is watery with quite acrid rough aftertaste coming from hops probably lees_29 (11) - - MAY 20, 2017

Clear black with small light brown lacing foam head. Coffee and chocolate in aroma, same in taste. Good. (Galveston 201705) gripweed57 (2314) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 14, 2017
From old tasting notes. Translucent brownish black color. Bubbly tan head. Nutty roasted malt aroma with hints of chocolate and licorice. Sweetish chocolate malt flavor has hints of peanut, oatmeal and burnt caramel. Smooth yet chewy. A flavorful stout. StoutBeerReviews (132) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 31, 2017

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany with no head, no sparkle and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong roasted malts, light dark fruit, vanilla, chocolate. Taste is mix of sweet dark fruit/chocolate and milder vanilla with bitter roast. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, lively (almost fizzy) carbonation and dry, mostly bitter roasty finish. Overall, all the attributes of a stout are here but everything is executed at a pretty average level. Too carbonated. bigcat03 (317) - Columbus, Nebraska, USA - NOV 23, 2016
Bottle poured into my Delirium snifter. Pitch black color with a fizzy, frothy tan head. Cocoa, espresso, dark roast coffee, and earthy tones in the aroma. Initial taste is very roasty with caramel, raw cocoa, and coffee. Aftertaste is roasted coffee bitterness. Body is a little light for a stout with medium carbonation. Decidedly better as it warmed but not my favorite. ronaldtheriot (1920) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 23, 2016
Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout has a thin-to-medium, beige, cola-type head of foam, a very dark-brown (essentially black) appearance, with tight bubble streams on the sides of the glass, and just a few lacing strings left behind. Aroma is of acrid, sharp malt, some raisin, and pungent note. Taste is of acrid, roasted malt, a bit of char, some sweetness, and the bitterness stems from the carbon, more so than from hops. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, and Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout finishes medium-wet and a bit dull. RJT bpar73 (1117) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - APR 27, 2016
