Good beer, easy to drink. Not the best bock I have ever had. Pretty forgettable, but would drink again. CheersMate (1343) - Portland (Sellhood), Oregon, USA - FEB 16, 2009
Happy that I didn’t buy a six pack of this beer. Little to no head with this one. Translucent and fairly dark brown. Fairly malty aroma. A strange toffee aroma as well. Dare I say I am smelling something sweet coming from this beer. Not a muted beer in terms of aroma, but fairly pungent. Weird taste. Almost a short lived malty sort of sweet flavor. This one is hard to describe. I haen’t tried a beer like this ever before, in terms of taste. I am having such a hard time nailing down what I am actually tasting. Not a bad palate; the beer is smooth on the tongue. Overall, malty beer with a lot of malt flavor and aroma, but nothing that I would want to try again. SSSteve (4006) - - FEB 12, 2009

Bottle, very nice, a clean sparkling golden amber, no head, but good carbonation level, no lacing, really nice mellow malt with a clean modest hop finish, rather like pilsner Block (3183) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - FEB 7, 2009
Dark red pour with a small white head. Light aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet or malts with a yeasty bitter finish. Light to medium body.

pours dark amber with a medium tan head.
Aroma is toasted malt, very light woody hop and a hint of alc.
Body is very light and watery and the taste is pretty thin. Light maltiness, some fruit tones. An earthy and tea-like bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: It pours a clear chestnut body with a smallish beige head and produces a small amount of slippery lace. The aroma is like a malty syrup, very sweet. A very light roastiness is added to the flavor, but the sweetness is pretty well unchecked. Once was enough for this one. Diablokev (181) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2009
Aroma is of fruit, aftertaste of caramel, appearance is a mid amber with a thin head and is a cream color. Overall this beer was not as good as I was looking for. thegreenrooster (4562) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 30, 2009
Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a very minor roasted malt. Flavor is again a very small rosted malt and caramel. There is nothing good about this beer and its way to expensive. krysztofar (345) - belleville, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2009
12oz bottle. coppery red color. light tan head leaves thin lace. malty nose has hints of rye, vanilla, and mild toasty brown sugar. body is moderate but refreshing. many standard bock traits. sweet but not sticky. not my favorite bock, but not deserving of the harsh criticism it has been receiving here. a solid although lacking brew.
