COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandoras Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, theres a reason its spoken about in mythical terms.

A nice drinkable bock that was not over assertive and lended very nicely to the malt side of things. Not my favorite as far as bocks go, but nonetheless it goes really nice along with barbequed chicken....

Ruby color with a small head. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor of wheat, bread and a little carmel.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2008 Rerate: Red-copper hue with thin lace patterns. Up front: chewy-sweet malts; toward the finish: toasted bread. Lesser notes of nuts and toffee. Only slightly cloying. Sweetness is on the verge of being too much. Hops offer nice and gentle aromas and a mild bitterness. Overall, not bad; much better than my last rating.

Good initial sips, disappointing finish. Breckenridge brewery seldom disapoints. A fine Bock that deserves a taste. Love the name. A good, but not great beer.

MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2003
Very thin and wattery. Not much malt flavor to it. Leaves your mouth with a slight bitter feel from the hops. Very nice dark amber hue, with a small amount of head. Aroma is very plain and tells little about the beer.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2005 I tasted this beer in Breckenridge and it was definitely very fresh. A light tasting bock, but still flavorful and very pleasing. Has a subtle cotton candy-like sweetness but not at all overwhelming. I found this to be a surprisingly refreshing beer and one of the better varieties from this brewery.

Ernest (7512) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 17, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2010 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, wort), lightly hoppy (apricot, flowers). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Very little of interest in the nose, and needs more to balance the syrupy sweet malt. Simple and kind of crude/raw.
