This one of my favorite beers. Great taste and full bodied. There is a slight sourness to this brew that I just can't resist.

Nice froth on nitro. Good coffee/dark chocolate after taste but not too thick. Light texture. Drinking it in 105 degrees outside and love it!

Excellent stout in the old style. Incredibly thick head that stays frothy long into the drinking. Smooth.

On draft at the Denver location, 4/15/06: Big ol’ creamy head. Milkiest beer yet. smooth, but a bit chalky. Sweet and lightl roasty. Excellent. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 3, 2009
tap at Breckenridge brewpub in Denver - Pours very dark brown with a big tan head that laces heavily. It has a rich aroma of chocolate, coffee, and dark roast malt. The flavor is big on the coffee and dark roast malt with the bitter roast and maybe some hops lingering in the finish. It’s full bodied and quite good. It’s interesting how widely the ratings vary here and makes me wonder if the quality of some batches was lacking. This one is excellent though.

On tap nitro @ Breckenridge (Ballpark) poured an opaque black with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smoooth. Flavors of cocoa, vanilla, light roastiness and a hint of coffee with a smooth lingering chocolate finish. A great breakfast beer! djd07 (14517) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2009
On tap at flying saucer. Pours a very dark brown almost black with a large frothy tan head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing. The aroma is a sweet roasted malt with chocolate and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a strong coffee and roasted malt. Very rich with a smokey flavor and a nice lingering sweet finish. A very good stout from Breckenridge. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2014

The final beer in my tasting round. The head was still there after an hour! Amazing. Lighter body than other stouts I’m used to. Marvelous bitterness with loads of grapefruit. Smooth roasted flavor with a goodly amount of hops. Delightful. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2009
