(draught) Pitch-black; greige dense head. Burnt/roasted barley, sulphury nose. Taste is meaty, yeasty and roasted barley. Soy sauce Japanese style, but less salty. Fleeting glimpse of buckwheat-flour. Full-bodied, on the verge of oily. OK Stout. Looks are more Guinness-like than the taste - well, OK. Camons (12805) - Hasselager, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2010
Tap @ the brewpub, Denver, Co. Black with a lasting light brown head. Nose of Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Taste of coffee, dark choocolate, dark dried fruit, blackberries, sugar. Medium body, soft carbonationed, creamy mouthfeel. Decent, but nothing special. 031210 jbatman (13) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 24, 2012
This beer had SO much potential. Pours jet black, with an oil thickness, and a solid 1" bright white dense foam head.
The smell is slightly sweet and a little tangy. Had in a busy bar setting so may not have had the best opportunity.
The taste is where everything went downhill. The overall profile was terribly underwhelming. Subtle chocolate/sweet notes, followed by a sourness that I didn't tend to agree with. If there were any coffee in it I would have had to dig deep for it.
I will say this though, it was one of the only beers I've ever had that left about half an inch of head at the bottle on the glass when I was finished.

Sampled at brewpub. Poured off of nitro. Creamy smooth stout with notes of chocolate, coffee and nuts. Kevin (2200) - Montana, USA - MAR 6, 2007
nitro pour, well, it smells like something on nitro, light cocoa comes through. a nice looking beer. dark in color with the white head playing well against the dark body. the beer version of cookies and cream ice cream and folgers coffee, but watered down so just the astruingent coffee note lingers. but it does have a nice balance between the sugary cream and and bitter coffee with a bit of dry cocoa lingering.

On tap. Pours a black brown color with a large creamy thick beige colored head. Kinda looks like Guinness. Nose is cat shit, star fruit, and hypnotique liquor. Taste is fruity and chocolaty. Thing watery mouthfeel with back end alcohol. VertBaconStrips (2391) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - JUN 5, 2015
Just ate a deep fried hot dog covered in slop. At Steve’s in the Denver airport B terminal. Soft and smooth with mild bitterness. Lihht roast, some sweetness, sharp dryness hangs around, pretty plain yet very easy to drink. Just happy to have a dark beer. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - OCT 12, 2003
Another one from the brewery. Pours black as night, with almost no head and some tan lacing around the sides of the glass. This one would go really well on a day that you are out in the backyard grilling. Slightly oily, with a burnt kind of day old coffee taste and very full-bodied. Worth a try. Had on tap at the brewpub on Blake. Poured a dark black color. I never really got anything which stood out about this beer.Flavor is sweet and it goes down smooth. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 30, 2008
