Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewerys Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

I really enjoy chocolate and/or vanilla added beers. The wife and I both enjoyed trying this one. Get the vanilla in the taste and smell. A good beer after a long day of skiing here in MN. The type of beer that is very enjoyable but only want to drink one a night.

Opaque, deep dark brown with ruby highlights, one-finger vanilla-colored head and oily lace. Big vanilla aromas up front, with notes of roasted coffee, brown sugar and molasses. Vanilla sweetness dominates the taste, with mild woodiness and earth. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, minimal carbonation and a lingering vanilla in the finish.

Pours dark with little head. They are right in their deScription of the vanilla as being a kiss. I could have used more. This porter isn't as think or sturdy as I would have hoped.

Draft. Brown with one finger tan head. Malty with vanilla and chocholate. Thin body. Somewhat watery. More of an English porter than the thicker American porters

Smells of roasted malt with a hint of vanilla. Nice deep dark rich brown color. Flavor starts off with mostly roasted malt. With a nice smooth creamy vanilla finish. Full-bodied on the palate with week almost flat carbonation. Nice smooth porter very enjoyable would buy again.

Poured from 12 ounce bottle from mix six pack purchased at Dent Kroger, tasted on January 16, 2016. Very dark brown hue, aroma of roasted malt/vanilla/chocolate with a hint of licorice and a chemical note, sweet mostly vanilla flavor with some chemical taste which lowers the score some. For anyone who likes this brewerys Christmas Ale like I do, I suggest picking up some if you can still find it since AB will very likely mess up the next edition of it. Just wish I would have known about the upcoming megabrewer takeover when I still could have gotten some Breckenridge Autumn Ale. As things stand, this is very likely the last Breckenridge beer I will ever drink. To AB InBev: Enjoy your investment. Eat shit.

Eye: Pours a dark brown non see through color with a thick beige head and little carbonation. Nose: herbal malts, wheat and other cereals Mouth: coffee malts, a bit fruity and even chocolaty and with a lot of imagination a hint of vanilla Palate: roasted nuts, dark malts, also a bit sweet with a touch of bitterness Overall: on the malty side, slightly watery, I dont really get the vanilla. decent beer but by far not my favorite porter

Thin light brown pour with a slight head. Nice roasted malt nose and vanilla there too. Taste is a little watery for a porter, thin. Taste itself is pretty nice, roasted malt, caramel, vanilla.
