Draft. Brown with one finger tan head. Malty with vanilla and chocholate. Thin body. Somewhat watery. More of an English porter than the thicker American porters polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Smells of roasted malt with a hint of vanilla. Nice deep dark rich brown color. Flavor starts off with mostly roasted malt. With a nice smooth creamy vanilla finish. Full-bodied on the palate with week almost flat carbonation. Nice smooth porter very enjoyable would buy again. Drjohnrock (805) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Poured from 12 ounce bottle from mix six pack purchased at Dent Kroger, tasted on January 16, 2016. Very dark brown hue, aroma of roasted malt/vanilla/chocolate with a hint of licorice and a chemical note, sweet mostly vanilla flavor with some chemical taste which lowers the score some. For anyone who likes this brewery’s Christmas Ale like I do, I suggest picking up some if you can still find it since AB will very likely mess up the next edition of it. Just wish I would have known about the upcoming megabrewer takeover when I still could have gotten some Breckenridge Autumn Ale. As things stand, this is very likely the last Breckenridge beer I will ever drink. To AB InBev: Enjoy your investment. Eat shit. Beerkenstock (114) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - JAN 7, 2016
Eye: Pours a dark brown non see through color with a thick beige head and little carbonation.
Nose: herbal malts, wheat and other cereals
Mouth: coffee malts, a bit fruity and even chocolaty and with a lot of imagination a hint of vanilla
Palate: roasted nuts, dark malts, also a bit sweet with a touch of bitterness
Overall: on the malty side, slightly watery, I don’t really get the vanilla. decent beer but by far not my favorite porter Bacterial (3005) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Thin light brown pour with a slight head. Nice roasted malt nose and vanilla there too. Taste is a little watery for a porter, thin. Taste itself is pretty nice, roasted malt, caramel, vanilla.

Aroma - malty roast, caramel, chocolate, and vanilla
Appearance - brown body, with an off-white head that is moderate in size. Some nice lacing.
Taste - is a malty roast, coffee, vanilla, and roast
Palate - body is medium, texture is thinner than expected, carbonation is soft, finish has a touch of roast astringency.

Vanilla, white chocolate and dark roasted malt nose. Dark brown pour with a huge light tan head. Medium-bodied. Flavors are less expressive than the nose. Cacao nibs, vanilla, and roasted malt. Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2015
I don’t really have any problems with this beer; it isn’t offensive to any of my senses, but it doesn’t stand out as anything spectacular, and given its niche style, it should be able to do that to be memorable. It pours with almost no head and doesn’t sit smoothly before swallowing, but it smells great, otherwise looks good, and tastes solid enough to want to keep drinking it. coachd (860) - Missouri, USA - NOV 8, 2015
I’m getting some vanilla in the aroma and some roasty/sweet porter characteristics, but everything in the scent is muted and weak. I wanted more here. Pours a flat black color with a tiny off white head. Flavor contains some dark chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla with a slight amount of bitterness at the very end to balance things out. The palate is not good at all. Watery, overly carbonated and weak. No thanks, I will not be trying this one again.
