This is good. Slighty too syrupy, but it doesn’t ruin it or anything. Too much might give a stomach ache.
Bottle from Ocean 9, Miami Beach. Pours dark brown with an average sized beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee, dark fruits, nut, vanilla, light toasting and cocoa. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness, just a slight hint of sour. Medium body, slightly oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is a little dry, with lasting roasted, chocolate and fruit notes. dokushin (3) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - DEC 10, 2017 does not count
Pours quite a dark brown with a fluffy tan head. Smells of roasted coffee/chocolate with a strong vanilla note. Taste is fairly heavy with a bit of hops, overpowered by vanilla sweetness. The vanilla taste is authentic and not chemical or artificial; the sweetness works with the beer, mostly due to a smooth, full body.
I wouldn't drink this every time -- probably a bit too sweet for me -- but it's a very well done porter, with really impressive body coming out of a bottle, and I'll almost certainly have more in the future. HourGlass13 (1101) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 26, 2017
Pours a dark brown, nearly black, with a tan head. Has a strong chocolate and creamy coffee aroma. Very rich creamy chocolate taste with dark malts and coffee. A nice balanced vanilla chocolate aftertaste. OsuStu (287) - - NOV 23, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2017 12 oz bottle. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, cocoa, and leather. Dark chocolate nibs, coffee, and some vanilla. Tastes fine but not all that interesting as porters go. Fair amount of carbonation on the tongue. dlihcsnatas (821) - Temple, Texas, USA - NOV 12, 2017
Wow can't believe I haven't already rated this one. Dark brew with decent head and a hint at the vanilla in the aroma. Taste is pretty much a typical porter with the addition of the vanilla to set it apart. Since I love vanilla this one is a winner in my opinion. Been drinking this for years in samplers and in six packs. Pretty much a winter tradition now.

Pours dark brown from the bottle. Tall, sudsy head that sticks to the glass. Aroma is vanilla, dark bread. Taste is sweet with a lightly tart undertone that becomes more noticeable at the finish. Aftertaste is vanilla. Body is medium. Okay. 17Beer (451) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 7, 2017
12 oz bottle. Smells of vanilla and yeast with alcohol notes. Pours a dark brown with a big tan head. Sweet flavors of vanilla but hard to discern much else. Not bad. WendyJean (1) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2017 does not count
Not a very robust Porter and I don't taste any vanilla, which is quite disappointing. Niko100 (3012) - Chicago, New York, USA - SEP 26, 2017
Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, rich vanilla, & some caramel; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee; Overall, a little thin - but decent. higgsbison (275) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 23, 2017
Somewhat thin. Had a bit of a burnt flavor. It might be worth another try looking at other peoples reviews
