COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewerys Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, dark brown with an orange hue and arough, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and vanilla. Medium body, sweetish roasted malts and then these very distinct vanilla accents. The bitterness is very discreet. Vanilla goes well in bourbon flavoured beers, but otherwise I really dont dig it. 180907

Leighton (20800) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle at home in NH, shared with Charlie. Pours brown with a foamy, light tan head. Slight roast and mild chocolate in the aroma, mild vanilla fo sho. Light to medium sweet flavor, heavy and almost sharp vanilla, rich bread. Medium bodied with average, smooth carbonation. Lightly sweet finish, sharp malts and vanilla, mild roast. The vanilla is too sharp overall, and the beer could stand to be a little sweeter (which might alleviate some of the abrasive vanilla). Otherwise, pretty decent stuff.
