3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft. Silky pitch black with one fingers worth of off-white foam. Aromas of soft barely noticable vanilla and roast coffee. Taste is smooth with mild chocolate and coffee notes and minimal vanilla. Clean mouthfeel. Very underwhelming.
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2017 Poured a large, light brown head. Dark brown, almost black coloring. Vanilla is clearly there, along with some slight bitterness. Not bad. AJCliff1983 (9) - - JUL 24, 2017 does not count
Very good. I enjoy the vanilla taste. The hint of chocolate topped it off. I would definitely have this again.

Manages to walk a lot of lines. A sweetish beer that doesn't cloy, a porter that isn't too sweet. Probably want a bit more dryness, but wtheak.

Bottle at home. Clear deep brown, cappuccino head. Creamy, milk chocolate, sweet licoricenuts, fresh vanilla, roasted malts. Vanilla, Bailey’s, caramel, milk chocolate, cream. Scol (14) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - MAY 22, 2017
Smell of black olives, nice dark brown color, vanilla in taste (obviously). Very smooth and easy to drink, but this is rather a minus for a porter - very thin watery body. In total very light and pleasant dark beer, but not a real porter as to me.

Originally rated on 12/31/08. Aroma is a vanilla and white chocolate mix, Flavor also had the vanilla/ white chocolate mix but it also had a nutty roasted malts. Sweet and slightly thin mouthfeel, overall it was o.k. 47574xeCD (1149) - Coventry, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2017
Draft at Yard House Orlando. Poured black with tan head. Chocolate vanilla cocoa dark malts. mrohia (271) - Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2017
Dayton Dragons, draft. Taste artificially vanilla. Tastes like vanilla extract, not vanilla bean. Mediciney. Eh. Sounded like it would be better than it is. StoutBeerReviews (174) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 23, 2017
vanilla notes are sparse but taste very authentic. its really just a hint of it tho, I wish they bumped it up a notch. otherwise a very typical simple porter. Its heavy on the dry side, and i’m not a big fan of dry beers.
