4th August 2010. GBBF. BeerViking (5133) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2009
Slightly hazy amber beer with a suddy off white head. Semi dry palate. Rich dark orange hops and a brandyish malt make this beer feel almost like a Christmas Special. It’s a tad too dry but a nice flavour and very drinkable.
Gravity at the 2009 Great Welsh Beer Festival, pours amber with a coarse white head. The nose has pineapple and a hint of peat. The body is woody, fruity, slightly honeyed and very pleasant, the aftertaste is bitter and herby but with a disappointing musty note.

Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 (had this on the Saturday morning when all was quite and after icing up , this was quite nice for breakfast at 07:30) This poured with a slight haze though this is no surprise as when I tapped this on Wednesday night it literally exploded everywhere it appeared that they may have played rugby with this cask. The beer itself had a very distinctive smokiness to it and maybe it was because I was hungry but I got kippers on the nose, the colour of this beer was light amber/warm gold. There was a warming spirit constantly present. The smokiness also came through in the mouth and I didn’t mind this beer in fact it was fine but I found it lacked the sort of complexity I would have expected for a beer of this strength, it was also quite sweet and a bit chewy. I was informed that this was 5.5% but the cask clearly stated 6.5%. Doppelganger (1389) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - JUL 29, 2008
Gravity,’08 Merton Summer festival. Hazy copper, frothy white head that fades to nothing. Cedar aroma, sweet plumy whisky. Soft full mouthfeel, medicinal sweetness. Noisy campfire wood.
Very odd, and not something I’d rush out to try again, but not without it’s own quirky charm. Nose really had some decent interest. Made me think of Bowmore. Flavor less interesting, and just doesn’t come together as a whole. Probably not enough character in the base beer to stand up to the flavors of the cask. imdownthepub (15530) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2008
Cask conditioned at Merton Summer B.F ’08. Hazed orange brown with white head. This was a frutiy sweet big beer, alcohol nose and fullness but quite sherry like on the close. It’s ok. anders37 (27667) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 12, 2011
Cask @ GBBF 2010. Pours a golden orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty toffee whisky aroma. Sweetish malty fruity caramel flavor with some weak hints of whisky. Has a fruity malty caramel finish. cgarvieuk (26421) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 12, 2010
cask at GBBF 2010 ... golden yellow ... soft dry hop nose ... dull dry toffee fruits ... very boring but ok.
