COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Oranjeboom, Rotterdam (Netherlands) until the early 90’s. After the closing of Oranjeboom production was moved to Breda (Netherlands). This brewery was called Verenigde Bierbrouwerijen Breda-Rotterdam at that time and soon to be renamed to Oranjeboom Brouwerij. The Breda Royal brand however always still mentioned United Dutch Breweries (wich translates to Verenigde Brouwerijen). On closing of Oranjeboom Brouwerij, Breda in 2004 by InBev production was moved to both Bremen and Leuven. Until 2008 when Randalls acquired the licence. Some production is also done at Hofbrauhaus Wolters (under the name Getränkeindustrie Altewiek).

Can. Pours a clear, almost golden, yellow with a white head. Bit of lacing. Dusty cereal aroma with a bit of bread. Flavour is sweetish and dusty, with cereals. Bitter finish, a bit dry, dusty and with lingering tartness. 04.02.12.

It made a good impression on me, although resting in my home, watching TV, appreciation can’t be trustworthy...

Foamy head with a yellow body. Soft dry bread aroma. Flavour is an allright mix of malt with a dry hoppy finish. Another lager without character.

Heavy bodied and deep tasting pilsner, sometimes overbearing with a slight bitterness to it.

4.7% gold colour with next to no head, sweet malt aroma, slightly bitter malt and hop taste but not a bad beer.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 0.5L can at 0.70€, very cold. Clear dark-Yellow body with bubbly white head short lasting. No nose, maybe some dust. Aroma has some malts and corn and some apple, dusty overall. Taste sweet with metallic bitter finish, anyway quite easy to drink.
Tried again on 04.07.2012, new design, same stuff.
