Brekeriet White Label
Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

75cl flaska från SB. Mörk blåröd, nästan lite lila tendens, med litet rosa/rödvitt skum. Riktigt tjusig i glaset.

750ml capped bottle pours a reddish purple color with a finger and a half of pink head that leaves only a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is dark berries and lemon with some funk. Taste is a dark berry and lemon tartness with a malty sweetness and funky yeast finish. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, this is quite a tart brew with loads of fruit flavour. Recommended.

Flaska från SB. Mörkt röd med rosa skum. Funkig, syrlig doft av svarta vinbär. Rejält med svarta vinbär i smaken.

Bottle from Robert (echobeer) -- cheers! This beer is uncommonly good looking -- it’s a cherry red or light, light purple that shows off just how much fruit went into the fermenters. The taste is moderate acidity, light funk, and a lot of berry fruit from the black currants. Great fruited sour.

Draft sampled at CBC Boston 2016 with Andrew and Brendan. Pours a bright pinkish red body with pink lacing. Nose is fecal and fruity aromas. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of funky and floral flavors and lots of fecal character.

4 oz. draft, Copenhagen Brewfest, Boston. Deep Violet color. Aroma shows me blackberries and tart funky raspberry. Like notes of acid.

Currents and raspberry jam like notes with sharp lemon acidic tartness. Pucker is pretty intense. Lightly tannic. Jeez almost to much for my palate. Sometimes I like fruited sours and other times... Not so much.
