3.3
Leighton (22555) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2016
Bottle at home in London - think I picked this one up at the City Beverage Company a few years ago. Pours clear chestnut-amber with a foamy, light khaki head. The aroma holds dried fruits, a little bit of old leather, leaves, earth. Light sweet flavour with faint astringency, plenty of leafy hops, a touch of carpet, more earthy bitterness, leathery berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more British hop character - leaves and earth - along with toasted bread and grains. Overall, not bad, if a a little rough at the edges.

jjsint (3523) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2016
Gravity cask from St Peter’s Ale House, Bedford. Brown with a hint of mahogany, only a bit translucent. Caramel malt and saltwater taffy aroma. Nice sweet malty taste with overtones of Lotus biscuit spread and whisky. Well-blanced English buttering hops elongate the satisfying finish. Slick and full body. Not normally crazy about these types of beers but this is really nice.

2.8
TBone (18412) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2015
Bottle 500ml (Ales by Mail)

Dark brown-copper color, small beige head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel and spicey hops. Medium-bodied. Malty, a bit harsh spicey hoppyness, even "ashy". Lingering bitterness. Underlying sweetness. Kind of unbalanced for ESB.

3.5
Benzai (16772) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 5, 2015
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Clear amber color, full sized off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, lightly toffee and a hint of caramel. Taste malts, lightly some caramel, nicely bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad at all.
