Cask. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel and nuts as well as a lighter note of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, nuts, and caramel, as well as a light note of butter, leading to a finish, where the caramel note lingers.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2010 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Copper with a small white head. Aroma has some faint ash and hint of chocolate malt. Rather a rough malty taste with a mid bitter finish. 18.3.10 Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Same as above, except of a clothy, elastoplast background that seems to be a hallmark of Spoons, plus an aftertaste of monkey nuts. Enough said. Rating: 4,4,4,3,9:2.4
