Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. Reddish chestnut with a tight cream head; yeasty aroma with some fruit; soft and fruity in the mouth, with some malty carmael; and a very dry, yeasty and lightly bitter finish. Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2012
Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW, London. Pours clear, dark gold with a foamy, white head. Toasty malt nose, some bread. Light sweet flavor with some leafy hops, toasty bread, light dirt, hints of dry toffee. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light dry finish with more toasty bread, modest grain, dirt, moderate dry leafy bitterness. OK. Basic.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours a toffee brown with a nice creamy head. The nose is quite tight, giving off gentle toffee and resin notes. The taste is more of the same and the toffee for me is just missing that biscuity note. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a dry but not wholly refreshing finish. Overall, a good demonstration of the style (some sort of dry bitter) but it lacks generosity on the palate. mr_h (5840) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - NOV 3, 2012

In cask al Market Porter, Londra, una bitter un pochino scarica che risulta troppo piatta al palato harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2011
Cask hanpull at the old buttermarket Canterbury. Mid brown amber colour with thin lasting head from a sparkler. Its a ok bitter which is what I expect from this brewery. Touch of animal fat on the flavour. Aroma is not great with a touch of too much acidity and rest of flavour has a bit of that too. Touch of nuttiness . A bit too much like licking the i.side of a nut shell to me. Odd tombyars (1749) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 10, 2011
Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow in February 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear copper in colour with a thin white head. Slight hint of fresh green apple in the short aroma. Pale malts give a fiery maltloaf base with tart redcurrant fruit and toffee apple notes. Slight whiff of dusty hops gives a dry aftertaste in the balanced bitter sweet finish. An ok session bitter.
