"OK, not nearly as bad as I remember from a few years back. One of two beers (out of 7) that i’d bother to get again. A medium bodied dry stout, not on nitro, but still pretty smooth...but quite thin. Good roasted flavors and not much else."

Cybercat (6342) - Georgia, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Pours a deep sable just a whisker or two above black with a nice tan head. Smoky aroma demands a taste with tempting coffee, chocolate and molasses notes. Flavor has firm smoky, roast coffee and chocolate notes plus hints of molasses and licorice. Firm-bodied texture has some good fizz. Double down on this one!

JohnnyJ (5571) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 14, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown pour, tan head. Mostly roasted malt, earthy bitterness, light chocolate, and caramel sweetness. Okay, passable.

Bif (2394) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - JUL 22, 2010
On Tap- Serve deep black color with a Thick head that that lasted quite well with some lacing. Had a roasted aroma with malt. Had a roasted and malt taste with a dry finish. Medium body with no strong alcohol presence and seems well balanced. Quite clean and smooth. Nice beer to relax with after running the Casino gauntlet.

jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 6, 2010
on nitro-pours a creamy rich light brown head that laces and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt-roasty/chocolate. Taste is dark malt-roasty/bitter chocolate/molasses.

kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Draft @ Brew Brothers El Dorado, served on nitro. Pours a beautiful, pitch black color; huge light-tan head with perfect retention and lacing that coats the glass; a beautiful pour. Good amounts of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and hints of dark licorice in the aroma; creamy, if a touch hollow. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: creamy, vanilla-tinged presence upfront; roasted malts, milk chocolate, and touches of smoke; nicely roasted, highly drinkable. Well-done, lots of creamy stout character. Medium finish: toasty malts, roast, and lasting chocolate; well-balanced end. Seriously, is this a new brewer?

DTM (870) - Vacaville, California, USA - MAY 14, 2009
On tap at the brewpub in Reno, NV. Poured a dark brown with a tan head. Creamy palate with roasted matls and bitter chocolate as the most dominant flavors. Reading the other ratings I didn’t really want to give it a taste. I’m glad I did.
