In the Cigar City tasting room. Light red. A little cloudy. It smells and tastes of a light inoffensive beer diluted with water. Not difficult to drink but not very flavorful at all.
Tap @ CCB Brewpub. Pours a thinish looking dark brown. Small tan head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, toffee, some wood. Taste is dirty pond water. Semi sweet. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. No. BrownsFan44 (1) - Naples, Florida, USA - DEC 18, 2013 does not count
Smooth and delicious, outstanding taste, goes down smooth. Aroma is rich, appearance is dark amber. Not filling. Goes great with food. JulienHuxley (5792) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2013
On tap at federal taphouse. Not quite clear red pour with small white head. Aroma of caramel, a tad woody, light oak, light cidery notes, quite strange. Flavor is malty, quite thin, a bit watery. Well carbed with light body. Interesting idea, but I don’t think the end result is right. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 9, 2012
On draft at Cigar City. Pours a mildly hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is wood, some sweet caramel, some mild earth, and some vanilla. Flavor follows: sweet caramel, wood, and some vanilla. Light to medium in body and lingering earth in the finish. knickskicks (1162) - - OCT 18, 2012
Tap at Cigar City. Light red, thin off-white head. Nose is light malts, caramel. Taste is light sweet malts, caramel, and wood. I don’t know if i would detect the wood without knowing it was wood-aged. jcartamdg (3407) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2012
pours amber with a thin white head. Aroma of cedar, and slight caramel malt. Taste follows, light cedar, doesn’t overpower, malt and not much else. This is a decent, light, easy to drink wood aged beer. burg326 (5479) - Florida, USA - SEP 8, 2012
On draft at Cigar City poured an amber orange color, thin body and very light texture. Aromas of caramel, toffee, light cedar, and some light earthy hops. Flavor is light wood with some caramel, the wood mellowed out the regular aftertaste.
