Could this be the missing link between beer and gin? 01/03 is infused with juniper berries and fresh cucumber.

teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - APR 14, 2013
On tap at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours a hazy pale straw colour with a large white head. Fine bubbles that last long. Aroma is stright saisony, with some grass and flowers, some barnyard and citrus notes. Taste is sweet-dry, nicely balanced, with the juniper adding a touch of woody and sweet component. Still quite dry and citrusy. Some band-aid. Cucumber is there in finish, as it warms up a bit. Overall, I expected a more markedly different beer, but this is a solid saison.

Leighton (21477) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2013
Keg at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a fine, white cream head. Certainly some cucumber in the nose, light floral notes. Light to medium sweet flavor with some doughy sugars, mild cucumber. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with light hay bitterness, fresh cucumber, dough. Nice, drinkable stuff with pleasant cucumber integration.

harrisoni (18807) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold colour with lasting white head. Saison yeast aroma with some spice from the juniper. Some lemon. Some soap and lemon in the mouth. The aroma is good. With some of that aroma coming through in the flavour and then some white pepper spicy hops on the finish. Certainly refreshing and tasty. Cucumber comes through. A good flavoured saison.

Scopey (14974) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013
Keg at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours hazy pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is clean cucumber, star fruit, softness, dough, capsicum and white pepper. The taste is smooth, fresh cucumber, hay, floral, spice, touch of peppery juniper, faint banana and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, peppery and refreshing. Enjoyable.

Love the scent and overall refreshing. Clearly cucumber based on aroma and taste.

I niech takim pozostanie.

Beersiveknown (5291) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle from abm
hazy pale blonde with fluffy offwhite head. Dusty hessian and cucumber peel. Even without the name the aroma gives the game away. Dry spicey fruit notes. Slushy cucumber, medium body, fairly astringent finish. Pretty decent but needs more juniper. Adding gin and tonic makes it decent.
