Keg at the hanging bat... Deep brown black... Thin tan lacing... Soft almost milky chocolate... Dark roast... Sweet malts... Dark chocolate... Deep roast... Again too much fizz... Definitely some lactic tones showing through very nice but agsin fizz not for me3.6 ... Ok defizzed with a spoon an easy 0.2 gain... 3.8Recon this would have got 4.1+ in cask though Leighton (21075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2014
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma is quite dynamic, with predominating roasted malts, some baking cocoa, lightly tangy dark fruits, some milk chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with nice, velvety chocolate character, some bitter burnt wood and earth, charcoal, raisins and burnt toffee. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Robust roasted malt finish with some edgy baking cocoa, charred bread, hard water minerality and leathery fruits. Well balanced with nice complexity. Another winning dark beer from BBNo. Rasmus40 (20300) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2016
