dark loamy brown with frothy tan head. Cocoa and toast. Robust and rich, earthy roast barley, coffee and toast. Superb, reaffirms my love of porters.
On tap at In de Wildeman. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hard-roasted malts, burnt black liquorice, almost ashy, some toffee, bitter chocolate, coffee, it’s all about the roast here. Flavour is lots of roast, burnt malts, burnt liquorice, light fruity, toffee, coffee, chocolate, hoppy and malty bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good. johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2015
Bottle. Black with a small head.Lovely creamy flavour with a trace of coffee and chocolate. The flavours are subtle but still very impressive. Pleasant, refreshing and easy to drink. Even by this brewers standards which are pretty high this one is a winner. My best so far this year.
