Bottle. Dark amber coloured beer with a very strong off white coloured head. The aroma is gently roasted and dry, and the flavour is bitter and roasted with a tinge of maltiness and gentle yeastiness. Overall a reasonable red ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

jamestulloch (4369) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 10, 2017
Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy ruby body with a medium beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of green pepper, earth and Twiglets. Flavour of mint and parma violets. Medium body with a frothy texture. Soft fizz. This was bottled nearly six months ago, and I think it’s past its best - the coffee notes have changed to green peppers. I’d like to retry this fresh.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Bottled 24.05.17. Pours dark reddish orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramely malts, coffee beans, hints of earthiness, pine, berries and toffee. Taste is smooth and caramely malty with some earthiness, berries, cold coffee and hints of pine. Finish is malty and slightly caramely with some cold coffee, berries and beans. Interesting, but a bit unbalanced and weird.

Bottle, [email protected], Kolding. Pours clear dark amber with a small, staying creamy off-white head. Aroma has lots of freshly ground coffee, a slight bit of chocolate, toasted caramel. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has fine toasted caramel malts, chocolate, firm coffee, lending lots of bitterness. Lingering bitter finish. Fresh.
