Pours a beautiful pink color with an unexpected medium sized head. There is a strong fruity aroma with only a faint scent of raspberries. The raspberry flavor does come through in the initial taste and then fades to a very smooth finish. Truly reminiscent of our lovers month of February. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2010
Brew it up valentale ale - fresh raz nose w dusty sweet tripel underneath. Somewhat sweet fruit too. Maybe a little too much tripel. Pinkish orange gold pour. No head. Razpberry flavors not too sweet or artificial. Tripel comes in finish a little to sweet - banana, sugar. Raz notes are nice, tripel notes are too sweet. Medium to large carb. 7 3 7 3 14

750ml capped brought by riversideak. Murky golden/orangish/pink. Nose is just over taken by Belgian sugar with some pepper, spice and an slightly unpleasant banana liquor aroma that is a tad ’hot’. Luckily, the raspberry that was lost in the nose make a showing in the taste. It really just mutes the sugar and banana and makes it ok. Sounded intersting and good on paper, but it needed more fruit to really work for me. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 26, 2009
Bottle thanks to bhensonb: Pours a transparent pale brass copper orange with a thin ring of white bubbles. Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity caramel malt and nice fresh fruity raspberries. Starts somewhat thin for the style, but has a good sweet fruity raspberry flavor with a touch of biscuity yeast and light tartness before a smooth semi-sweet finish. Has good raspberry character, but could use more body. nimbleprop (8723) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 19, 2009
750ml bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a transparent orange, amber with a thin white head. Big raspberry nose, sugary, vinous, candy sugar. Flavor is thinner, sweet, candy, thin raspberry. Sticky finish.

750ml bottle, thanks CaptainCougar. Cloudy pink/amber body topped by small white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, raspberry, light sourness. Taste is medium sweet, raspberry, some cherry. Light-medium body, some alcohol. marcus (10582) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 19, 2009
This cloudy golden ale poured with an attractive pinkish head and a grapefruit aroma. There is a subtle raspberry taste and an underlying sweet malt flavor. There is a lot of carbonation that leaves a citrus bite on your throat and tongue. It’s refreshing and tasty, but not much like the traditional Belgian fruit lambics. ~Pours a cloudy orange with short lasting head. Plenty of carbonation bubbles. Looks appealing.
~Strong scent of yeast and light rasberry.
~Wheaty flavor that quickly changes to a tart light rasberry. Some astringentness, but not bad at all. Very refreshing.
~Light feel, clean tart finish.
~I don’t agree with the $20 price tag, but this is a pleasantly surprising beer. I’m glad I got to try it. bhensonb (15621) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 13, 2009
Capped 750 from the brewpub. The pour is much like pink grapefruit juice. The pink-white head didn’t last long. The aroma is raspberry. Tending to full body with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is raspberry with arguably mild hop. It’s a rather mild raspberry. Not a lot of sugar. The heat seems well hidden. The finish is rather dry. Not so much seed bitter as I’d like. In some respects it drinks like sparkling wine. A bitterness builds in the back of the mouth - might be seeds finally. Might be a bit overpriced. But it is what it is. No regrets, but I would rather buy something else expensive I have not had than another bottle right soon.
