UPDATED: SEP 17, 2012 Cask at Brodies festival, King William IV, Leyton on 8 April 2012. Mid brown colour. Very nutty. Not that much else going on as far as I could tell. A bit of the sweet side with just a touch of toffee & nougat. Quite soft mouthfeel. Not really my thing. (6/3/6/3/12=3.0)
Re-rate: From cask at Brew Wharf on 1 May 2012. Don’t know whether it was something to do with the conditioning but I enjoyed this a lot more this time. Still a lot of nutty notes but it seemed a lot fresher, cleaner and more vibrant. Good stuff. Previous score discarded.
Cask at Brew Wharf. Medium brown with a slightly off-white head. Slight nuttiness, touch of caramel and roast in the aroma. Bit savory, malty, and light earthy hops. Medium body. Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2012
(Cask at Brew Wharf, Southwark, London, 21 April 2012) Brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty nose with nuts, toast, crisp-bread and prunes. Malty taste with notes of crisp-bread, dried fruit, prunes, nuts and orange peel. Medium body, with a certain sweetness and a gentle citric bitterness. Quite nice. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 13, 2012

Wharf, London. Ambery brown colour, not too much head. Aroma and flavour are both quite nutty with some fruits, caramel and mild toasted notes. Gentle and smooth palate.
Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’12. Mid brown with white head. Sweetish beer, lots of rich maltiness, hints of coffee and bitter chocolate and yes, quite a sweetish nutty note, not sure I would have said Pecan nut but it is certainly there. I also had a hint of strawberry thrown in. A good accomplished beer.

Cask, Gravity,Banbury Beer Festival 10.05.12 Pours a dandelion & burdock soft drink colour brown. The nuttiness is great, offering a lovely tangy bite but with a fresh ripeness to the nuts as well. Nicely chewy and I like the hops but am not sure what they are. Great example of this style which ordinarily would not be a style that interests me too much. Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Clear dark brown almost cola coloured. Aroma of dry brown malt, choc and subtle nut. Flavour is really good. Love the pecans. Not too sweet not too dry. Shows again how good Ang is as a brewer. Good drinking beer. Doesnt show its abv either. Interesting. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 24, 2012

On tap at Brew Wharf. Clear dark amber - red beer. Tidy white head. Light semi dry palate. Sweetish malt but with a little spice in the background. Maybe green hop spice? Subtle dried fruits. Something else going on which is sweetish but not malt. Must be the Pecans but they are not dominant. Nice combo.
Cask @ Brodies. Dark brown colour, reasonable head. Sour fruity chocolate aroma. Grassy sour caramel chocolate flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. OK for a brown ale.
