On cask (gravity dispense) at the Rake on 13 April 2011. Rather hazy amber appearance. Good flowery, nettley, citric aroma. More citrus (grapefruit) in the flavour, topped up with touches of tropical fruit. Didnít really get much caramel malt presence. Firm enough mouthfeel although a little flat and lifeless. Plenty tasty but condition didnít seem perfect. Still enjoyable though.

Wharf. A finger of coarse, big-bubbled near-white foam, over a brownish amber body with good clarity. Modest aroma of light caramelly malts and peachy hops. Sour-accented, fairly dry malt flavor. Nice taste of caramel. Ok bitterness. Earthy, and maybe woody and spiced flavoring hops. Very light for a 6.5 percenter. Feels kind of watered down in the mouth. Souris-malty endnotes. Not my kind of IPA.
Cask conditioned handpump Brew Wharf London. An amber coloured beer with a white head. A good full bodied hoppy beer with nice citricity in the nose and no off-putting sweetness. Quite chewy in the mouth. A good melange of hops with an interesting medicinal note. I suppose I should look up what melanoidin is. Scopey (14511) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2011
On tap at Brew Wharf. It pours clear amber, with a foamy white head and soft carbonation. The nose is mozzarella, wood, orange, roasted malt and yeast. The taste is chewy, resin, orange, mango, grapefruit, lychee, caramel, brown bread, toast and some soap, with a long bitter-woody finish. Itís smooth and easy to drink. Gravity at the Rake. Pours a murky dark amber with a fine off-white head. Green and peppery hops on nose plus a hint of grapefruit and mango. Palate is dry-bitter with hints of banana and treacle, then a very dry-bitter finish, still with a burnt note. Good but not quite right.

Clear amber beer, good head that is slightly off white. Light softish palate. Mild carbonation. Sweet light malt with subtle sweet caramel. Followed by good fruity hops that are mildly sweet. Mango and pineapple. Sweetish finish. Another good un from Brew Wharf.
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp citrusy hoppy. Grapefruity, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Slight flat malt base. Bitter and lingering citrusy hoppy flavoured. Bitter and smooth finish.
