Cask-conditioned at the Phoenix, York 12/11/2017. Deep amber in colour, with a tight, white, head. A sweetish brown ale, with notes of brown sugar, berry fruits and citrus hops, bready malts and a gentle finish. Good.

can from Trembling Madness, York. Red-Brown colour. In aroma is combination of malts and hops, roasty aromas and fine citrusy tones made nice contrast. Taste: start is really roasty like dark styles, at the middle comes fruits and citrusies. Most interst is coffee, fine bitter and grapefruit finnish.

Almost clear amber - brown beer, tidy pale head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a fine crispness. Tangy malts, some light earthyness. Modest ripe fruits. Tangy minerally finish. Mild apple. Decent.

Cask conditioned at York Beer Festival ’16. Cloudy brown with cream head. This was quite sweet and just a little cereal fustiness, damp barley notes. Sweet fruitiness later on. Just okay.

Not quite sure if this is a brown ale , or best bitter. Some caramel malts, with light Hop finish

On cask in Rook & Gaskill, York. Served brown and hazy, with a reasonable condition. Good fruity taste with a subtle grapefruit hint or two. The odd chocolate note also comes through. Spicy bitter finish. Interesting
