bottle from bierpost.com. Hazy amber-golden colour, large off-white head. Spicy aroma of ginger and spices. Medium-bodied, lovely malty base with good spices, ginger cardamom, clove... Lots of flavours going on here, ver nice beer.
33cl bottle, last one sold to me (at full price) 1 week shy of 05Jan16 BB date at Markthalle source. - great embossed foam on a russet-copper pour. Actually manages to smell of oven baked pumpkin more than of its spiced side notes of cinnamon, clove and vanilla - well done, pretty organic as well compared to a few US artificial standards (like Brooklyn Post Road). Spices and hops become more apparent in flavour, especially the ginger and hop bitters crisscrossing through the roasted pumpkin caramels, but probably the clean lager palate makes it all palatable still. Pretty clean and non-infected - the DK congregation below must have caught a bad batch, now extrapolated x6 into an undeservingly low score. Pumpkin beers remain a difficult overspiced breed, but especially for a lager recipe this is pretty well done. anders37 (26641) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2013

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy amber with loads of impurities and a lacing white head. Comes a massive gusher. Tart, spicy nose. Light body, tart fruit and a massive lactic infection. Disgusting. This is a disgrace to brewing. 270413

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with sediment floating around under a beige head. The aroma has notes pumpkin, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, ginger, and pumpkin, leading to a tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 1, 2012
750ml bottle. Cloudy orangey dark golden to amber colour with huge, foamy, minimally lacing, lasting, white head. Spicy typical pumpkin aroma, some ginger. Taste is initially Lager-like pale malty on the tip of the tongue, with the mouth filled moderately sweet, pumpkin, ginger, later again pale malty with some bitter hoppy overtones. Well balanced, the pumpkin is not overdone, maybe a little conflict with the hop in the finish. edpeg (904) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2012
