Thanks Gabriel! Poursamuddy reddish brown with a rich tan head that falls to a thin covering. Rich malt, a little toffee, fruit notes a touch of sourness. The taste is quite sour up front, tangy fruit. I don’t know if this is supposed to be intentionally sour but I doubt it. Medium body and pretty smooth. Overall not loving it as a sour bock - I will have to try again.

Tap at the brewpub, Berlin. Pours deep, lightly cloudy red-brown with a strong, tan cream head. Tangy dark fruits haunt the aroma. Like prunes, cranberries and cherries. Very nice flavor, rich and sweet, with rich dark toast, dark sugars, fruit cake, dark fruits, hints of cocoa, spices, herbs and licorice. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish with mellowed tang, dark and ripe fruits, dark malts, faint toast, brown sugar, licorice. Very nicely nuanced beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber ruby color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with weak sour hints. Sweetish malty grainy caramel flavor with hints of dark fruit. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish.

ganache (6057) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 21, 2011
Draught in the Markthalle, labelled as Winterbock. Black pour with a creamy, rocky tan head. Beautiful roast aroma with fresh brewpubby yeast notes and light fruit. Taste plays up the beautiful berrilicious fruit and the roast is diminished only to be realized as pervasive drought with an underlying current of chocolate. Achieves an excellent balance, creamy medium body, very easy to like this one. Vitamin rich, I’m sure.

culchiem (4155) - Berlin, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2011
Draught. Murky brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel and some clove. Flavour of sweet chocolate with a lovely toasty malt finish. Low carbonation, creamy finish
