Fruity aroma. Cloudy golden colour with excellent head. Passionfruit flavours with a tingly finish. Light body with high carbonation. hawthorne00 (4028) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2010
330ml bottle poured into a 500ml Weizen. Even poured slowly the head is still way out of the oversized glass. Gungy yellow with lots of bubbles. Smells wheaty and spicy. Taste has a little sweetness and lots of tartness and spice (cloves, coriander, vanilla). Not too much banana character, lots of bread and spice. Tangy finish. This is the most like the hefeweizen I’ve had on tap in Germany of any bottled version I’ve tried, including German brews. mkel07 (6195) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 24, 2010
330ml bottle. Foam, foam and more foam. Huge rocky head as carbonation explodes from the bottle and takes forever to settle. Cloudy amber colour with clove, vanilla and banana aromas. Little watery with an okay flavour but nothing to rave about. Maris (1553) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JAN 11, 2010
From a 330ml bottle on 11/1/2010. I may have just got a couple of bottles from a dud batch but the insane carbonation made this almost impossible to drink. Had the worst palate of any beer I’ve ever consumed in fact. It pretty much exploded into froth as soon as it hit my mouth. Leaving it sit in a glass for a while allowed me to actually taste the beer in liquid form, but it wasn’t really worth the wait. Had the prototypical banana-like fragrance and flavour, but was uninspiring. Will have to try this again in future, as my experience is clearly at odds with others who have tried it. Hazy golden color. Very clovey nose with a touch of bananas. Well balanced. Slightly spicy mouth, a bit too low for carbonation, but good depth. Refreshing.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with a massive white head. Loads of citrus, banana and spice and wheat backbone. Good bitterness. Spicy wheat finish. A well brewed hefe and very refreshing. The best Aussie made hefeweizen I’ve tried so far. Dervock (1404) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 19, 2009
Bottle - Slightly hazy golden with a fizzy head that quickly dissapears. Lots of fizz in the glass. Nice aroma, lots of banana and yeast. Smooth flavour wheat with banana and spices, but not very strong. slightly dry finish. You could have a few of these! Davros (3231) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2009
Murky amber/orange pour with small rapidly dissipating head.
Lots of banana in the aroma, as well as citrus, wheat and some spicy alcohol and cloves.
Very nice flavour, despite the lack of complexity. The expected wheat and banana are the main constituents, with a bit more of that tangy citrus in the background.
Medium body with light spritzy carbonation. alepig666 (78) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - AUG 25, 2009
Bottle. Aroma of mostly sweet banana, with a fair bit of clove and spice. The banana was very strong in the taste, the clove and spice backed off a bit but was still noticeable via the typical hefe tingle on the tongue. Finish was great, sweet banana which turned dry, with a decent hit of clove and some nice biscuit undertones. Far better than I expected from an Aussie hefeweizen, only improvements I would’ve made would be the mouthfeel (which was a bit watery), and perhaps a hint of vanilla. Apart from those minor quibbles, superb. UnholyBrewing (595) - Central Florida(Upper Hell), Florida, USA - JUL 28, 2009
...bottle. Well, was rather surprised at this one. Nice on the nose, fruity, citrus and yeast. Flavors were nice and balanced for the most part, I just thought it was overtaken by the apple notes. Decent body, finished with a hint of spice. Will have this again, solid effort.
