Know what gives an IPA a real groovy kick? Rye. Why? Because rye lets the hops take you away. Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo will open your mind like a parachute (it only works when it’s open). Only then will you become Supa Fly.

Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo.
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Caramunich, Chocolate.

Clear amber with flattish head. A rich and bitter IPA that delivers a refreshing finish. Upgraded the taste rating after a couple of sips, it grew on me.

Bottle. clear amber with a most white head. Aroma of passionfruit, peach, grapefruit, light spices, biscuit. Light bodied, lowish carbonation. Tropical and citrus fruit, not a lot of body, peppery, moderate bitterness. Refreshing, summery. Another nice beer.

Draught @ Grainstore, Newcastle Good looking pale amber beer. Holds a dense head. Hops drive the nose; citrus, grass, some light caramel malts, faint grainy spice. Palate is chewy, creamy, lovely texture with a restrained carbonation. Biscuity, toffee malts play a support role to plenty of spicy citrusy hops. Mild peppery rye spice lingers with firm bitterness on finish. A nice if not an understated rye beer.

Pours dark copper with good lasting head. Aroma is very fresh and hoppy. Slightly grassy with a hint of lavender. Flavour is harshly bitter but refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours light orange. Nose shows pine, spice from the rye and citrus. Really drinkable. Solid rye ipa.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. I’m a fan of rye IPA’s and this doesn’t disappoint. Spice, pine, grass and mild resin. Thin mouthfeel helps it drink super easy. Good stuff

Aromas of melon, honey, mild citrus and dirty socks. There’s a lot of grapefruit, pepper berries and rye in the tasting. A very good RIPA.

Malrider69 (181) - Central Coast, AUSTRALIA - SEP 16, 2014
Pours nicely with a well-defined head (possibly a bit too gassy). Cloudy amber colour, with a pleasant spicy aroma. The taste is of spicy rye and resin and lingers on the palate. A high quality beer.

Alehouse Project ontap (23-Nov-13) Fruit spice hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour, decent head and lattice lacing. Herbal grass and biscuit malt flavour. Bitter herbal spiced finish and fruit biscuit malt aftertaste.

500ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 111213. Another funky looking label straight from the 70’s and a very good beer to match.
