A perfect ale, for a pirate... Dark ale that screams rum. Pours brown, with a tan head.

Prawie pi?cio letnie piwo. W aromacie alkohol, whisky, rum, rodzynki, wanilia, chleb, karmel. Barwa rubinowa, wzgl?dnie klarowna z niewielka be?owa pian?. W smaku spora slodycz i lekko cierpki alkohol. Reszta to odzwierciedlenie aromatu z dodatkiem nut miodowo papierowych, co ?wiadczy o utlenieniu. Goryczka umiarkowana, adekwatna. Kragla do tegiej pelnia, niskie wysycenie i s?odki, alkoholowy finisz. Nie jest to z?e piwo ale up?yw czasu zrobi swoje.

Bottle shared. Thanks Juan! Rich caramel and deep, toasted molasses on the nose. Some prune and raisin as it warms with chocolate. Toasted coconut and more molasses on the palate. A very nice treat!

Big full body on this one. Rich, prunes, chocolate, vanilla and raisins. Not overtly boozy. Long, dark rich finish. Has aged well. Thanks Juan.

Corpo medio, medio-pieno, mediamente carbonata, texture leggermente oleosa.

Flaske 330ml. Delt med Rune i WC-veien 25 Apr 16. Ultramørk amber. Middels høyt lysebrunt skum som daler sakte. Lett & god lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken har preg av rom & frukt. Lett søt. Alkoholen merkes ikke.

Rune (13503) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 2, 2016
330ml bottle, 11.9 % abv, bought quite a while ago at BrewDog Shoreditch and shared back home with Finn. One finger thick fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Opaque dark brown-red body. Aroma of dried fruits and oak. Rum-like taste including dried fruits, dark bread, oak, earth and dark berries. Warming, long-lived dark malt-fruity ending. Fine bodied. Decent sipper qualities (Tromsø 25.04.2016).

Bottle shared in Richmond as ’BrewDog / Ballast Point San Diego Scotch Ale’, 2011 vintage. Very dark brown, red hue, small foamy tan head. Aroma is rum n raisin fudge, Christmas pudding. Body smooth, low carbonation. Taste is sweet and follows the aroma, definite rum, red berry, booze and dry into the finish. Drinking well now.
