Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Keg at BrewDog Leeds. Clear copper orange, thick head leaves some light lacing. Soft blueberry yoghurt, supple tropical fruits, light sweet biscuit malt nose. Surprisingly sweet, nice full fruity berry character and soft bitterness. Just a tiny bit sweet for me but pretty decent!

Keg at BrewDog Birmingham; light copper pour with white head, fruit and petrol aroma, taste is piney, grapefruit and blueberries, slight bitterness some burnt rubber.

Golden pour. Nice fruity aroma with caramel notes on the taste. Blueberries very subtle on the finish. Good body.

Scottishchris (723) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Bottle from Cornelius. Barely any off-white head. Amber orange colour, very clear. Strong cat piss nose. Moderate hoppy initial taste. Sweet fruit blueberry. Sticky and cloying. Not good.

MarkHawk (11) - North Shields, Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2013
Dark amber with a thin cream head. Great aroma of hops and sweet berries, unusual and complex. Taste is very floral up front with the hops then kicking in to provide additional flavour and bitterness. Great ipa that does things a little unusually and is a great addition to the Brewdog lineup.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark copper golden colour with an off-white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops, some berries, citrus and some caramel. Rich flavour of herbal hoppiness, caramel malts, passion fruit, pungent citrus and surprisingly strong juicy berries. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes juicy, bitter and berryish. Berries are much more upfront than on the Mette Marit brew. I kinda like it, but maybe it’s the Mosaic talking.

Bottle at hotel from brewdog Bristol
Clear pale amber with beige lacing. Sweet floral, slight passion fruit on nose. Medium carbonation, sweet at first, floral, bitter creeps in but more integrated than other hello beers. Floral blueberries in finish.

jamestulloch (4212) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 29, 2013
Bottle from Cornelius. Clear golden body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Stunning aroma of blueberries, lavender, passionfruit, mango and lemongrass. Flavour doesn’t quite live up to the power and complexity of the aroma, but it packs a tropical fruit punch nonetheless. Deceptively drinkable for 8.2% ABV. Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A unique, fruity DIPA that I would definitely have again.

gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2013
On tap at Mikkeller Bar, October 2013. Dark golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of some herbs, fruit, malt, citrus, some alcohol. Not as fruity as expected. Still a descent beer.

Fin (10699) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2013
On tap at Brewdog, Shoreditch, Saturday 26th October 2013 Pours copper in colour to my eyes, but quite dark in here, good clarity with a snall white head. Robust malty and hoppy beer sweet but then a light almost casual dryness, like it is unintended. Full flavoured in mouth fruity sourness, alcohol sits quite heavily. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5
