Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Bottle at home. Some blueberry on the nose, sweet, dry, toffee, bitter, not much blueberry in the taste.

On tap in brewdog Tokyo. Faint aroma of blueberry but mainly big hop nose. Perfect colour and carbonation. Rich body. Overall solid double ipa but If I was not told I would not have picked up on the blueberries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light amber with white head. Nose is funky, yeast and sweet. Taste is plain bitter and watery. Where is the hops? Blueberry? Could be the age (batch 237) but not impressed at all. Way below Brewdog and Evil Twin standard.

Joakgust (1466) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle. Clear amber beer with a large beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, citrus, peaches and pine needles. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, spices, blueberries and peaches. Well balanced but a bit boozy.

djoeye (4806) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2014
Head as apricot-tart-cream at first, dimimishes to fragile pearl white lacings. Body is amber almost clear with copper tones. Fruity hoppy scents and fruity malts too to the nose. Fruity malty taste, with sirup-resin, fruity hops, alco-candies, but I could not find blueberries. I guess the strong abv overpowered that part. Feels nice, suitable carbonation, somewhat warming from the alco. Finishes slightly woody, dark roasted grilled malts, lots of resin still. Good brew. Beer Gift from Rune the Arctic Beer Professor, big thanks man!

Crille (90) - Varberg, SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2014
Pours a hazy/cloudy amber color, with a off white head. The nose is full of citrus, malt and some berries. The taste is fruity, grapefruit and some sweet berries. Good hop flavor. Thin for a DIPA, but very nice anyway.

Geiserich (4545) - Linz, AUSTRIA - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle: Aroma of citrus, floral hops, some berries and pine. Pale amber color. Flavor is malty, cookies, caramel, berries, fruit, tropical fruits, citrus peel, pine. Resin, bitter aromatic finish. Aromatic brew.
